On behalf of the Economic Development Corporation of Elkhart County (EDC) and the Horizon Education Alliance (HEA), we want to thank Welch Packaging for your generous support of Manufacturing Days by hosting tours for our local Eighth Grade Students.

With your assistance, we were able to take approximately 1,922 Elkhart County eighth graders through 64 manufacturing facilities around the county. Through your generosity, we were able to accomplish our goal of creating awareness of the career pathways and corresponding educational pipelines available to our students within Elkhart County’s dynamic manufacturing industry. The feedback from the career mentors, industry representatives, and students has been overwhelmingly positive, and the feedback from the Parent Nights has been compelling. One student from Jimtown Middle School sent us an email saying that Parent Night was the best night of her life.

This event in Elkhart County could not have been possible without your generous contributions. You not only helped educate students on the wide array of opportunities that are available to them in the manufacturing industry, but you also helped grow the collaboration between the schools and businesses in our county.

Thank you for partnering with us and sharing our commitment to create a strong and vibrant community.

Very Respectfully,
Mark Dobson
